Shopping: my first e.l.f products

Sunday, December 4, 2011
I've seen so many e.l.f hauls in the past and I finally decided to try some of their stuff out. To be honest... the 40% off code convinced me. Since I've never really tried anything from e.l.f I decided to get some of the things I've heard most about and some that just seemed interesting to me. Most of the stuff I really like, some are... ehh. Well, basically the stuff I chose myself is just plain blahh. :D I only got e.l.f studio products because the packaging is so much nicer... I'm all about the packaging.

Of course I had to get the contouring blush and bronzing powder. I really like the blush, but the bronzer is a bit too dark and orange for my skin. Maybe if I were more tanned...

The conditioning lip balm had been on my wishlist since I first heard people raving about this. I really like it - it's so soft and smooth and smells nice. Mine is in Blissful Berry, since the other two shades I had my eye on were sold out... The only thing that seems ridiculous is the packaging... it's huge and I can't fit this in my everyday makeup bag. :(

The eyeliner and shadow sticks seemed cool and I got them in Purple Plum and Green Moss. I love the colours of Green Moss, but the staying power is about five minutes, so... If anyone knows how to make these stay on longer, please let me know. :D

I think I was most excited about this stipple brush. I only have a regular foundation brush by Topshop, but I've always been interested in stipple brushes - and I really do get nice and more airbrushed coverage with this. Love it! Might order another one among with some cream blushes, which I also haven't tried yet...

I also got a nail polish in Metal Madness, but I've lost the picture... What I've learned from this order is that you can usually be sure about the products you've heard people raving about, but when you try out something yourself you might end up with another product that ends up in the bottom of your makeup drawer... For example, the nail polish has a really nice colour, but the consistency and the brush are just so messed up. Maybe I'm just spoiled by OPI... :D

In the future I'm interested in their cream blushes, tinted lip conditioners in other shades and minty lip glosses (I ordered some for other girls and they seemed really nice).

Tellisin seoses suure allahindlusega paar asja e.l.f-ist.

Kuid jah - mulle need meeldivad :)

  2. Ahh, viska need pulgad parem ära ja osta midagi paremat... Palladio oma näiteks püsivad ideaalselt. Milleks oma närve raisata sellise jamaga?

  3. I love elf! The majority of their products are really high quality and ridiculously cheap prices. Great purchases(:
